Client Policies

A few clear guidelines so every pet in my care stays safe, comfortable and well looked after.

    Behavioral Pet Policy

Having a written behavioral policy isn't about being strict — it's about setting clear expectations so I can keep providing the best possible care while making sure every pet stays safe and comfortable during their time with me.

This policy is in place for any actions that compromise the safety, health, or comfort of the sitter, the pet, or the surrounding community.

Behavioral Fee (per dog, per 3-day booking)Fee
    X-Small Dog (under 10 lbs)$25
    Small Dog (11–25 lbs)$50
    Medium Dog (26–45 lbs)$75
    Large Dog (46–50 lbs)$100

Pawsitive Paths does not accept temperamental or aggressive dogs over 50 lbs.

Fees may vary at the time of booking after further discussion and assessment of the information provided.

Chronic Illness & Health Disclosure Policy

Pawsitive Paths does not accept dogs with chronic or unmanaged medical conditions requiring specialized veterinary monitoring or treatment. These cases require a level of care that goes beyond the scope of in-home pet sitting services, and this policy is in place to ensure the safety and well-being of every pet in my care.

Please disclose all medical conditions, diagnoses, medications, and ongoing health concerns during the booking process. Transparency is essential so I can properly prepare and determine whether I'm the right fit for each pet's needs.

Failure to disclose a chronic illness or significant medical condition may result in:

    • Immediate discontinuation of services
    • All booked services remaining payable in full
    • A $100 non-disclosure fee added to the booking

To help prevent situations like this, Pawsitive Paths sends detailed intake forms before every booking — even for returning clients. These must be completed with up-to-date, accurate information for each pet so I always have the most current health and behavioral details before any visit begins.

This policy is in place to protect the health of your pet and ensure that all pets receive the level of care they require.

Questions about these policies? Reach out before booking and I'm happy to talk through them.
